February kicks off travel to New York City for KSS & TOY FAIR where Cyber Optics will be debuting their ANIMATED SIZZLE REEL based on their Comic Book Series. Written and Created by Kathy Messick, Directed by Mark Simon and Animated by Loogaroo Studios, the animation expertly shows off the entire cast of characters. The newly reformatted 24 page, action packed Issue 2 Burger Mania Comic will also be released. Read it here on the site and send in the interactive contest from the inside back cover to win a free Cyber Optics Prize!

In the meantime remember whatever you post on the Net builds a textual and visual history that will be accessible to not only the colleges and jobs you apply for, but to that special person you’re interested in, should they choose to Google you or look you up on the social nets. Keep private what should be kept private. Your future self will thank you! Looking Back on 2011

Cyber Crime is on the rise! This past year besides the many corporations that were attacked and even more so embarrassed by the attacks – Criminal Hackers usual teenage suspects were joined by Criminal Corporate Hackers stealing information for headlines and financial gain. Corporate Hacking Scandals rates amongst the worst of cyber crimes, destroying the trust in the institutions the public puts their faith in. Anyone caught Criminal Hacking faces prosecution but corporations exposed to be using these practices biggest challenge is to regain not only the public trust, but the young talent it hopes to attract to work in its organization trust. Net Ethics goes both ways, we expect kids, teenagers, young students and employees to have it. Now we must also hold our corporations and public organizations to the same Net Ethics.

2011: Generation Net Reigns Supreme!

Well here it is February 2011 already, and the Groundhog in all of us is yearning for Spring. We’re off for our annual sojourn to New York… and ready to bear whatever old man winter still has to bring! We get to attend Toy Fair and will be exhibiting at the Women In Toys booth #5241, February 14th from 1:00 to 3:00. February 15th WIT will raffle off our comic in a special drawing. We also get to see all our pals at KSS, Kids Screen Summit and debut this awesome new website, along with the NEW reformatted, re-branded, 24 page ISSUE ONE OF THE CYBER OPTICS SERIES, “ A NEW IDENTITY.”

The girls and I got some new winter gear and Cyber booked us at the Hilton and arranged tickets for a Broadway Show. I’m super excited as this is when I get the chance to catch up with so many of my international friends. Zip, Java and Maya have a long list of places to ferret out and are sure to keep me super busy. They’re looking forward to having a break from the Magnet School in California and are busy testing all their new digital tools to battle Cyber Crime. So I am taking my vitamins and getting an upgrade from Cyber, to be in top form to look after the Girls! Check out our awesome cover at left, and hit me up for a Comic in NYC!

Update from MIPCOM 2010

Well here we are at MIPCOM in CANNES FRANCE. Java is loving it the most since she speaks French! The event is awesome and we’re getting to meet lots of people who have read our comics for Generation Net.

Btw the Comic Book Series is undergoing a REFORMAT to 24 pages for national distribution purposes, and we are REBRANDING to “Cyber Optics.” Kewl huh? Since Zip is no Angel – Sorry Zip … But after that last mishap in Issue 6 – Zip herself suggested we change the generic tag
to a name more fitting of the Information Age.

The new art by artist Sofyan Syarief is totally amazing. The illustration of the girls adventures reign supreme. We’ll be posting some of the new art soon and changing our logo. Our website will still be up and will just forward to the new site name, so no worries in finding us.

It is October – The official month for stamping out Cyber Bullies. So, Cyber and I just wanna give a shout out to the girls for all their hard work fighting cyber crime and keeping the Net safe!

Thanks to all our fans that keep sending us the crossword puzzles completed, and the great interactive pages you digitally colored and sent in. We will be posting some soon. In the meantime for those fans that sent things our way, look for our latest Issue to land in your mailbox!

Looking Ahead: 2010 and Beyond

February 2010 finds us back in New York for KidScreen Summit and Toy Fair. This year they’ve officially changed the month NYC Comic Con takes place to October so in 2010 we get to travel to New York twice! We’ll post some pics from our NYC trip when we return, so stay tuned…

The Angels have promised me to carve out some time to shoot a video of the Live Action presentation so we can post it here on the site. We’ll also be visiting some more schools to share the Comic Book Trailer and Live Show. The girls have told Cyber they have more fun doing this than anything, so he’s promised to not keep them so busy fighting cyber crime during their presentation schedule.

We’ll also be reformatting the Comic Book Series to 24 pages, combining Issues 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6 and expanding on the action throughout, including poster pullouts for each Issue and more interactive contests!

As always the Net is everybody’s back yard so the Angels will be busy helping Cyber to keep out the bullies and undesirables from ruining it for the rest of us. Fighting Cyber Crime though seems like nothing compared to the girl’s class schedules at the Magnet School for Technology. I’m glad I’m not in High School anymore!

I’ll be keeping Cyber Headquarters immaculate as to keep things running smoothly and make sure the Angels get super healthy treats to keep them fit for the Information Age. Generation Net reigns Supreme!

The long awaited release of Issue Six “Zip’s Under Sea Adventure” is debuting across the country. The art of course is receiving rave reviews, especially the panels of Maya diving to save Zip. Readers everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief, and so am I by the way, that Zip puts her doubts behind her in Issue 6 and vows to remain a Cyber Angel and fight cyber crime.

Issue 6 features a new glossary and a crossword puzzle, which when completed successfully, can be sent to contests@cyberangeslonline.net to receive a free magnet! Color one of our inside back covers with Photoshop or your favorite program and send those in for a free Cyber Angels notebook! Recap of 2009

The release of Issue Five “ Beyond The Digital Divide” started off 2009 with a bang. In February the gang traveled to New York to exhibit at NYC Comic Con where we handed out lots of free Cyber Angels merchandise! The last day of the Con kids got in free so we also gave away Issue One “A New Identity.” Yes “Cyber Angels” is the first Comic ever for Generation Net, but we also promote reading books. Especially Cyber Angels Comic Books! We also attended KSS, the Kids Screen Summit, and volunteered to woman the Women In Toys table for a day at Toy Fair. More than that we got to frolic in the snow and take some great walks through the city. Sometimes the buildings are so high you have to look straight up to see the sky.

Through the spring Cyber kept the girls busy halting Criminal Hackers or Crackers as we call ‘em in the biz. The Angels kept busy through the summer rehearsing a live presentation, that features their gymnastic, dance and combat skills. They practiced at Maya’s house, it was a welcome break from fighting cyber crime or doing schoolwork. September 13, the Angels debuted the Live Action Presentation at the Los Angeles Comic Book & SciFi Convention. Cyber and I were so proud. The series gained lots of new readers and fans.

In December we were invited to Heliotrope Elementary School in Maywood California, where we showed the Comic Book Trailer and debuted the Live Action Performance, to grades Kindergarten through 5th! What a blast! We did three shows with a Q & A after each. We learned as much from the kids as we shared with them. Heliotrope’s students pledged to be Cyber Optics and part of the Cyber Angels Team.
